How/where do you find your inspiration?

The web is full of great places to find inspiration with sites showcasing the work of many illustrators. I also see look at other things, like the art of culture around the world that show other ways of solving problems.

What things do you do when you face a creative block?

I listen to music, watch a good movie or TV series, read a book, or try cooking something new. Creative block is not bad, it is one’s mind working in silence.

What are mistakes/lessons you’ve encountered as a beginner and have learned from?

When I was a beginner, I used to think I wasn’t good enough. Later I found out that lots of people loved my work. The lesson I learned from this was to take it easy and always learn new things. Also, respect and communication are very important when working with clients!

What are your best tips/tricks when working with CorelDRAW?

CorelDRAW is easy to use and has new tools and features I enjoy learning about and experimenting with. Right now, I’m experimenting with how to use “non-destructive effects” and have discovered that they offer lots of creative possibilities. I always like to see how those new tools improve the images I create.

All artists in this series are customers of Alludo and use CorelDRAW.
