CYLUS

(Cynthia de Melo)

Brazil

How/where do you find your inspiration?

I search on websites like Pinterest, Behance, Dribble, Google Images and I also watch animations like The Simpsons.

What are things you do when you face a creative block?

Creative blocks must be respected, I don’t force my ideas, I leave the computer and do other things, physical exercise, hear music, anything else that doesn’t involve work.

What are mistakes/lessons you’ve encountered as a beginner and have learned from?

Comparing myself with other artists with more experience, demanding more than I could give at that moment.

I was afraid to risk new ideas, afraid of the opinion of other designers or illustrators. I learned that everyone has their way of creating and their time of evolution, we are all unique, without comparison.

What are your best tips/tricks when working with CorelDRAW?

I advise learning everything you can with Corel Draw, it has a lot of amazing tools, for example in edit/Find and replace is one of the features that accelerate my projects a lot.

All artists in this series are customers of Alludo and use CorelDRAW.
